The job
As an Order Picker, you are responsible for collecting orders in a large and modern distribution center. You ensure that the orders from various branches are prepared on time and correctly, so that the stores can be supplied every day. You work with advanced tools such as a handheld scanner and an electric pallet truck, allowing you to efficiently and safely pick products from the shelves and prepare them for shipment.
On an average workday, you start by reviewing the orders to be processed. With your handheld scanner, you begin your round along the shelves. You check the products for quality and quantity, and ensure that everything is neatly and safely packed. You also assist colleagues with other logistical tasks if needed. Speed, precision, and teamwork are essential, as together you ensure that everything runs smoothly.
