The job
As an Order Picker, you are an important link in the logistics process of a large distribution center. You ensure that the orders from various branches are collected timely and correctly. Using a handheld scanner and an electric pallet truck, you pick the right products from the shelves and prepare them for shipment. You work in a cooled area of 5 to 7 degrees, so it's important that you feel comfortable working in a cool environment.
On an average workday, you start by collecting orders that come in through the system. You check the products for quality and quantity, pack them carefully, and place them correctly on the pallets. You use modern tools and work together with colleagues to ensure everything runs smoothly. Additionally, you help maintain a safe, neat, and organized workplace. Sometimes you assist with other logistical tasks if needed.
